This place should be nothing new to most locals and the negative review should not come as a surprise to most. I just don't think the dim sum here is honestly that good. It's cheap but I cannot justify the long wait, I'd rather go somewhere else.
This is the original store in Sham Shui Po. |
The menu is very simple and I found it quite cheap. Eight steamers of dim sum for HK$151 for 4 people? That's rad!
Obviously, price is not everything for a foodie. Quality is. Plus, sitting in such a tight proximity with your fellow diners is enough to inflict claustrophobia. (I was bumping into my neighbor's chair and rubbing shoulders with my friend the entire time.) The rice rolls and the pineapple buns were good. Everything else didn't make a lasting memory or outright too oily (i.e. the noodles and pan-fried lotus pancakes).

and the bad...
Being a weight-watching and calories-conscious foodie, this place is a pass. (可一不可再...)
