Anyways, this post is about Melange, which is quite famous for its waffles. My first visit was for exactly that.
My last visit, I actually brought my co-worker (from Sydney) not because we wanted waffles but he wanted salad (and a good coffee) for lunch. The place is within walkable distance from our office and easy enough to find, even for a foreigner. Plus, there are a number of cafes nearby so if Melange is full, there is always an alternative.
My co-worker said it has been a challenge for him to find good restaurants for sandwiches and salads as most Asians eat rice / noodles for lunch so. He actually said this was the best salad he had in Asia and went there two days in a row! (I didn't accompany him the second day as I wanted rice... LOL!) But, next time you have a Western colleague visiting, you will know where to take him/her :)
I didn't take photos of the sandwiches as they look quite normal but I did take some photos of the coffee.
