We pretty much know what we wanted already so the ordering process was a breeze. We were a little embarrassed since most of the staff remembered us as the group who won the coupon (less than a week ago...) but oh well.
Vegetable tempura encore! |
Shishito Pepper I almost always get these at a izakaya but forgot about them last time So we will try them these time :) |
Eringi Mushrooms - Meaty! I wish they offer portobello too, but I guess that won't be very Japanese? |
and Bronzini too! somehow, it wasn't as good as last time maybe it was the "wow" factor? (i.e., expected too much?) |
nevertheless, if you compare the fish to the last visit it's exactly the same!!! (the bends, the cuts, everything!) |
We arrived a little later this time so we were able to witness the whole rice cake pounding event. The crowd seemed more enthusiastic this time also... (more children perhaps?) We also got to taste the rice cake itself!
We really enjoyed both of our visits and would recommend this restaurant if you love Japanese food but wanted to try something besides sushi and/or ramen. :)
