[Taipei] Al Cicchetto (義麵坊 小酒館)

In my recent trip to Taipei, I made it a point to check out Eslite Living (Xinyi) (誠品生活松菸店), which was opened in August 2013.  I simply adore that place and can easily spend a whole day there.  Since I went after work, I was hunting for food and I found Al Cicchetto (義麵坊 小酒館), which is located right across from the popular Wu Pao Chun Bakery (吳寶春麥方店).

I am a sucker for this kind of restaurants - unassuming, classy interior, inviting menu, and reasonably priced.  Better yet, food was delicious.  Again, I over-estimated myself and ended up ordering too much.  Nevertheless, I think it's a great place for a week day dinner with friends or your significant other when you want something fancy but not over-the-top.

This tea set was a little small for my lavender-chamomile tea but would have been perfect for brewing gyokuro.

Shimps that were spicy with a kick I can still recall

Probably one of the best carbonara I had in recent memory.
