If you like steak, la vache! is a decent option in Central, Hong Kong. The price is fair and the quality is good.
Reservations are accepted for parties of 5 or more. Otherwise, it's first-come, first-serve. So, I like to come here early. 6:45pm and I guarantee you will be seated in no time.
The menu is simple. Bread, salad, steak, and all-you-can-eat fries. Lovely to take people who can never make up their minds. *smirk*
I think putting the steak on the candle warmer is a brilliant idea. On one hand, the steak is warm; on the other hand, the restaurant ensured the customers are eating at a good pace (the steak will get overcooked otherwise). My only complaint? The cut of the steak can sometimes be too fatty - and they won't trim it for you. (We were lucky, our cut was perfect. However, the customers next to us were not as lucky.)
