Chelsea Market & the Lobster Place

Believe it or not, Chelsea Market was an alternate destination after I (barely) missed the Yayoi Kusama exhibition at the David Zwirner Gallery... It turned out to be a favorite for both my mom and I... You can't go wrong by taking a housewife and a foodie grocery shopping...

I recalled my friend told me there is a popular cake shop inside Chelsea Market
However, I didn't know which one it was since I didn't do my homework on this place >.<
(It was Fat Witch Bakery... Lesson learned: never come unprepared)

Our favorite shop in Chelsea Market is the spice shop!  We were oohing-and-ahhing in here when we see all the different spices.  Unfortunately, we are not expect with our spices and didn't know what to do with all the choices we were given... so we end up coming out the shop empty handed.  (I will do better next time!)

As we walked around, trying to decide what to eat for lunch, we spotted the Lobster Place.  The place is packed, with local and tourists alike.  After seeing flocks of people coming out the shop holding onto their lobster tails and looking for seats, we decided we want lobster tails for lunch too!  We were not disappointed.

These places are the best to learn English.  It's like an interactive picture card in a way :)

The hot food is all the way towards the back of the shop. Our target is lobsters so stay focus!!! (I was tempted by the chowder... Glad I resisted...)

I love Maine lobsters!  But 3.5 pounds is just too much :P

After chowing down our lobsters, I discovered there were fresh shucked oysters and clams!  There is no way we are passing up this opportunity for some fresh oysters!  Prices are very reasonable too. :)

I forgot what I got now but I remembered the are fresh and plump for the most part.
Generally, I prefer brinier oysters.

Look at all these people and their lobsters!  We were lucky to find a spot to stand inside the shop... otherwise, we will be sitting around, just like these people here.  Amen!!!
