Chasing Sakura - Japan (17) - Yamasaki River (山崎川)

After lunch, I went to the beautiful Yamasaki River for a walk.  I read about this place from another blogger's page and thought I would come if time allows.  I am glad I did as you can see how beautiful it is from the pictures!

A great place to walk around~~~

I only walked about 2 km (I turned around at the 1 km mark)
It would be really nice if I were able to bike the whole way.

The water is so clean you can see the fish and everything else!
The things floating on the river is sakura petals, not trash.
If only everyone can be ask protective of their environment like the Japanese...

If you are nearby and looking for a place to kill time, this is where I would recommend!

To go there:

Take the Subway Meijo Line from Tenma Station (where Atsuta Shrine is) and get off on Aratama-bashi Station (exit 4) (travel time: 5 minutes).  Turn left and walk for about 10 minutes.

地下鉄名城線伝馬町上車新瑞橋下車(5分鐘)4號出口  徒歩10
